Our residents are provided with nourishing, appetising food prepared by our chefs. Variety is important and we take time and care in preparing balanced, interesting meals.


Lordington Park offers luxury accommodation for short-stay residents. We can provide a short-stay room for up to a 6-week period.

Our short-stay service offers peace of mind to those who may be convalescing from accident, illness or needing post-operative care.


Lordington Park provide a caring service to meet resident’s needs untill the end of their life.


Our approach to end of life care is supportive and focuses on the continued comfort & dignity of our resident’s.


Our residents are provided with nourishing, appetising food prepared by our chefs. Variety is important and we take time and care in preparing balanced, interesting meals. Fresh vegetables and fruit are prominent in our menus - we have our own vegetable garden and grow a lot of the crops we need for our menus.

Our residents' likes and dislikes will be taken into account and special dietary requirements will be catered for. For those residents unable to attend the dining room, their meals will be served in their room.


















Typical Daily Meal Plan

Early morning tea

Served as required from 6.30am onwards.

Breakfast 8am onwards

Breakfast is served in our residents' room. Breakfast consists of a choice of porridge, toast and jam/marmalade, fresh fruit, orange juice, tea or coffee and cereals.

Morning coffee and biscuits (between 10am and 11am)


A pre-lunch sherry is served in the drawing room; this is a popular social part of the day and is attended by all the residents, if they are able.

Lunch 12.30pm

A three-course lunch is provided consisting of a starter, main course and dessert followed by tea or coffee. Lunch is served in our dining room.

Afternoon tea and cake 3pm

Afternoon tea is served with a piece of cake.

Supper 6.30pm

In the evening a choice of a cooked supper or sandwiches are served together with a selection of cakes, fresh fruit, bread and jams, followed by tea or coffee.

Night drinks

These are served from 8.30pm onwards.


Lunch guests can be accommodated by prior arrangement.




Physiotherapy can be arranged for a resident. This is a private arrangement and the cost is £25 per session. The Community physio is available by arrangement via the GP. 

Doctor's Visits

The homes GP visits each week on a Thursday. 

Residents will not be required to change doctors for the convenience of Lordington Park. However, it must be recognised that doctors work within a geographical area and a move into residential care may necessitate a change of doctor for a resident. Help will be given, if necessary, to register with a new local doctor.


A chiropodist visits the home every 6 weeks, the charge is £15. 


The hairdresser visits weekly; charges range from £10 - £35.



At Lordington Park assistance is given so that residents can maintain social contacts, hobbies and leisure interests from prior admission.Lordington Park recognises the importance of having friends and family close by and encourage residents to receive visitors, although we ask if mealtimes can be avoided. Each room has a telephone point so residents may have their own telephone line and number to contact friends and family should they wish.


Lordington Park’s social events take part in the drawing room and are geared towards entertaining and improving the lifestyles of our residents. Residents will be encouraged to participate, however their choice in this will be respected.


Our home has a beautifully kept private garden which is a great source of pleasure, whether our residents like to dine al fresco, enjoy afternoon tea, participate in lawn croquet during the summer months or simply take in the view and the fresh air, our staff are only too happy for our residents to make the most of the surroundings Lordington Park has to offer.


We know how important food is to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and meal times at Lordington Park act as a great opportunity for residents to socialise. Our skilled chefs provide a variety of tasty and beautifully presented home cooked meals every day made with home grown vegetables from Lordington Park. Religion can play a big part in a resident’s life. It is entirely for the resident to decide whether or not to follow a particular religion. Residents wishing to attend church will be encouraged and assisted to do so. Lordington Park has regular visits by clergy from two separate denominations and communion is held within the home once a month.
