Lordington Park Residential Care Home's General Information
At Lordington Park assistance is given so that residents can maintain social contacts, hobbies and leisure interests from prior admission.
Lordington Park recognises the importance of having friends and family close by and encourage residents to receive visitors, although we ask if mealtimes can be avoided. Each room has a telephone point so residents may have their own telephone line and number to contact friends and family should they wish.
Lordington Park’s social events take part in the drawing room and are geared towards entertaining and improving the lifestyles of our residents. Residents will be encouraged to participate, however their choice in this will be respected.
Our home has a beautifully kept private garden which is a great source of pleasure, whether our residents like to dine al fresco, enjoy afternoon tea, participate in lawn croquet during the summer months or simply take in the view and the fresh air, our staff are only too happy for our residents to make the most of the surroundings Lordington Park has to offer.
We know how important food is to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and meal times at Lordington Park act as a great opportunity for residents to socialise. Our skilled chefs provide a variety of tasty and beautifully presented home cooked meals every day made with home grown vegetables from Lordington Park. Residents’ likes and dislikes along with special dietary requirements will be catered for. For an example of a typical lunch time menu please click here.
Religion can play a big part in a resident’s life. It is entirely for the resident to decide whether or not to follow a particular religion. Residents wishing to attend church will be encouraged and assisted to do so. Lordington Park has regular visits by clergy from two separate denominations and communion is held within the home once a month.
Lordington Park residents take advantage of a variety of visiting services from the local community including hairdressers, dentists, chiropodists, doctors as well as physiotherapists.
More information on these services can be found on our Additional Services Page.
