Catering at Lordington Park Residential Care Home

Our residents are provided with nourishing, appetising food prepared by our chefs. Variety is important and we take time and care in preparing balanced, interesting meals. Fresh vegetables and fruit are prominent in our menus - we have our own vegetable garden and grow a lot of the crops we need for our menus.

Our residents' likes and dislikes will be taken into account and special dietary requirements will be catered for. For those residents unable to attend the dining room, their meals will be served in their room.

Typical Daily Meal Plan

Early morning tea

Served as required from 6.30am onwards.

Breakfast 8am onwards

Breakfast is served in our residents' room. Breakfast consists of a choice of porridge, toast and jam/marmalade, fresh fruit, orange juice, tea or coffee and cereals.

Morning coffee and biscuits (between 10am and 11am)

11.40am

A pre-lunch sherry is served in the drawing room; this is a popular social part of the day and is attended by all the residents, if they are able.

Lunch 12.30pm

A three-course lunch is provided consisting of a starter, main course and dessert followed by tea or coffee. Lunch is served in our dining room.

Afternoon tea and cake 3pm

Afternoon tea is served with a piece of cake.

Supper 6.30pm

In the evening a choice of a cooked supper or sandwiches are served together with a selection of cakes, fresh fruit, bread and jams, followed by tea or coffee.

Night drinks

These are served from 8.30pm onwards.

 

Lunch guests can be accommodated by prior arrangement.
